Millbrook Stars Advance to Semi Finals
The Millbrook Stars Novice LL team advances to the Golden Puck Semi Finals with 3 straight wins....and the second straight shut out for goalie J. Metcalf
Millbrook Stars continued their strong play in Port Colborne, Saturday afternoon. Posting a 6 - 0 win over one of the host teams, the Port Colborne Black team.
As a result of the victory, the Stars will now play in the semi-finals Sunday morning at 11:30.
T. Lehmann opened the scoring for the Stars half way into the first period, on a set up from C. Stephenson.
M. Berardi posted another tally early in the second, with assists going to G. Fisher and B. Donoghue.
T. Lehmann then went on to score 2 goals back to back to complete his hat trick. The first was assisted by T. Hammond and W. Simpson. The second was set up by L. Kirkwood.
B. Borden completed the scoring for the Stars in the third with 2 goals. The first was assisted by M. Field who was making his tournament debut due to illness. The second was once again set up by defenceman L. Kirkwood.
The Millbrook Stars Novice LL team will face a novice team from Lincoln in the semi finals.
