Two For Two
Day two of the Peterborough Atom Liftlock Tournament was buzzing right from the start for Atom White.

The team was pumped from the win from the night before and were ready to repeat their performance.

The game started with Wyatt Sayer between the pipes aiming to stop whatever came his way.

Atom White opened the game with Mitchell Kay scoring the first goal.   The Stars seemed to dominate the ice out skating their opponent with a lot of scoring chances.  Declan Hunter scored the second goal of the game giving Atom White a 2 nothing lead over the Baltimore Ice Dogs at the close of the first period.

The second period had everyone on the edge of their seats as Baltimore scored a goal.   The Stars took many shots on the Baltimore net, but all scoring attempts by the Stars were thwarted in this period.

Hunter Hargreaves took his place between the pipes halfway through the second period and was ready to stop pucks for the remainder of the game.

The arena was alive with excitement in the air as the third period started 2 - 1 for the Stars.  Four goals were scored in the first 6 minutes of this period.  The Stars were alive on the ice and their fans were right their with them cheers echoing throughout the arena.

Baltimore snuck one in on Hunter in net, and then the Stars suffered a setback.   One of our defensive players served a penalty keeping us short handed for 4 minutes.   Though the Stars were leading the game 6-2, you could feel the crowd holding their breath.

That's exactly when Teddy Bobee rocketed a puck up the ice to Mitchell Kay, who sent it flying into the net scoring a short handed goal.  The Stars proved they had their game under control and commanded control of the puck finishing the game with a final score of 7 - 2.

Unmentioned goals from the third period go to: Tristan Lehmann, Declan Hunter, and 2 to Zenan Pearce.

Game assists go to: Declan Hunter, Makayla Nichols, Tyler Dunlop, Jayden Metcalf, Zenan Pearce,  Landon Kirkwood, and Teddy Bobee.
