Hello Hockey Families, we have some important reminders for everyone

1) The CMCC has policies that we must adhere to or we risk losing our ice times in the Millbrook arena. Please read through the following list and familiarize yourselves and your families with these policies:

  • Entrance is only permitted at the East side main entrance of the facility.
    • Entrance to the building is permitted 15 minutes prior to the ice booking start time.
    • Players will have 50 minutes on ice, and 10 minutes to change and exit the building.
    • Face coverings must be worn until coaches, trainers, officials, volunteers and players enter the ice surface.
    • Coaches, trainers, spots volunteers must wear PPE (medical grade mask+ eye protection) if they cannot maintain 2 metres distance from anyone who is not wearing a mask, and they are not separated by an impermeable barrier.
    • Players will be permitted to bring their hockey equipment bag and 1 clearly labeled water bottle into the arena/dressing room.
    • 2 parents/guardians per player will be permitted in the arena.
Parents are not permitted in the changeroom, if a player requires assistance dressing, they will be asked to come to the arena dressed with the exception of skates, helmets and gloves. One parent will be permitted to enter the dressing room corridor to assist their child with their skates, gloves and helmets.
Parent/guardian are only permitted to view from the arena stands which has been designated for this purpose. Waiting in the lobby area is not permitted.
    • At the end of the allocated ice time teams will have 10 minutes to change and exit the facility.
    • Exiting the building will take place at the designated exit doors located at the West side of the Cavan Monaghan Community Centre.

2) The OMHA has released their updated vaccination policy. Please review it here:

It is important to note that all players who are eligible to be vaccinated must be double vaccinated by Oct 16th in order to be cleared by Oct 31st and be in compliance with the OMHA policy.

3) If your player requires new jerseys for this season, you MUST order them from The Imprinted Apparel Store, located at 730 The Kingsway. Please visit the store or contact Clinton  @ [email protected] 705-749-1136 Hours of Operation - Monday – Friday: 8:30am to 5:30pm. Clinton will be placing a bulk order and we can not guarantee your player will have a jersey for the season if not ordered by EoB September 20th. Teams that require Millbrook jerseys are Intending U9 rep players and U11 and above.

4) The MDMHA is still looking for volunteers to help fill roles on our board. MDMHA is a fully volunteer ran organization and without participation from our membership, it is impossible to provide a quality hockey program. Open positions are: Ice Scheduler and Registrar. If you or anyone you know is interested in one of these positions, please send an email to [email protected] to notify us of your interest. As per our bylaws we do need to receive your expressed interest two weeks prior to holding a special meeting in order to properly notify our membership. Let us know if you have any questions.
