Clearing Up Ice Time Confusion
Submitted By Brian Field on Mon 09 26, 22
We have had some feedback that parents are confused as to when their child is supposed to be on the ice.

In order to clarify any confusion.....here is the straight forward answer.

1.  Any player that has a desire and appropriate status to try out for the teams conducting tryouts this week should do so.  This includes U11, U13, and U18.  The tryout fee must be paid in full prior to the first try out skate.

2.  ALL players in an age category are WELCOME to skate during ice times for their age group NOT listed as Tryouts.  Ie. U11 LL is listed for an ice time on Tuesday at 5PM...ALL U11 players can participate in this skate, including those trying out for the representative team IF THEY DESIRE TOO. ALL players NOT trying out are of course also welcome at this time. In some cases, the ice time are divided into groups of players based on first letter of their last name, this is strictly for balancing the number of players on the ice at any one time, and is not indicative of who or what team they will be on.....or who is their coach.

WE are still in the "pre season", teams have not yet been formed, and coaches are not finalised.  We appreciate the volunteer efforts of EVERYONE that has been assisting the kids with their first ice times of the year.

This season has started out differently than most due to the OMHA moving many of the AAA and AA tryouts to September (normally these happen in the spring)......as a result we have had to delay our own try outs until AAA and AA were complete... until REP team selections are complete, our LL teams have not been determined and our final team structure and number of coaches has not been finalised....this will happen in due course.

AS ALWAYS....the website will be updated as soon as we are able....and is the "go to" location for information....and schedule

AS SOON AS WE ARE ABLE we will communicate what team your child is on....and will start to separately designate the ice times for them.....they will also then know who the coach is for the team.

Hopefully this will clear up any existing confusion, if not please contact us and we will endeavour to provide further clarification.
