In follow-up to our March communication announcing our representative coaches, the Millbrook & District Minor Hockey Association (MDMHA) is pleased to share the representative evaluation (tryout) dates and registration information for the 2025-26 season.
We had a fantastic showing for our pre-skates and want to thank all the players and coaches who participated.
The Rep Evaluations (“tryouts”) have been moved to Spring 2025 to align with other associations and in adherence to Ontario Hockey Federation (OHF) recommendations.
Player Evaluation (Tryout) Dates:
Tryouts will take place starting May 3rd for U11/13 and May 5th for U15/16/U18 at the Scugog Arena
in Port Perry (655 Reach St, Port Perry, ON L9L 1P2).
Specific dates by age group can be found on the Millbrook Stars calendar, as well as within the Team Finder space by clicking on the “Ungrouped Teams” tab and navigating to the age group.
Player Evaluation (Tryout) Registration:
Players must register for tryouts on Spordle in the Rep Tryout Store.
The Tryout Fee is $100 and is non-refundable.
There will be no players cut before the completion of the first three scheduled tryouts.
Important Information and Reminders

Registration will be open until and through the completion of tryouts to account for players who may be participating in A-Tryouts and get released.

Given Rep B and A-level tryouts happen in the same time window, players can still tryout for A-level, but we ask that parents/players keep in touch with the coaches regarding your progressions.

Players must bring a dark and white numbered jersey to each tryout.

Following the three core evaluations, tryouts will transition into an exhibition game(s). Those dates will be added to the calendar soon and and may require additional payment/fees for players that advance to that stage.

The first tryout for U15 will include a body-checking clinic.

U8/U9 MD Spring evaluations have a tentative start date of May 12th and the dates will be posted soon! Stay tuned.
