Bench Staff Certification Requirements
It's never too early to get ready for next season!
To be rostered to a team or to a bench, you and/or parents and guardians must have proper qualifications and take mandatory courses per OMHA Regulations. (To go directly to the page you need, click on the links below).
If bench staff do not have all qualifications completed by the time the rosters are to be submitted to OMHA, you will not be able to be rostered on a team, and may make your team ineligible to be rostered causing a delay in the season for your young Stars.
To be rostered to a team and be on the bench, all bench staff require the following:
Gender Identity
Respect in Sport - Leader
Rowan Law Resource Review and Acknowledgement
U7, U8, U9
Head Coach / Assistant Coach
To be rostered as Head Coach or Assistant Coach in the following divisions:
Hockey University (HU) Online - Coach 1/Coach 2 - Must be completed before registering for any stand alone Coach 1 or 2 clinic.
Coach 1
Once you register for the Gender Identity course, you need to go to ohfhnoheo.com and login with your eHockey credentials to complete the modules.
U11 through U21
Head Coach / Assistant Coach - U11 through to U21
To be rostered as Head Coach or Assistant Coach in the following divisions:
Hockey University (HU) Online - Coach 1/Coach 2 - Must be completed before registering for any stand alone Coach 1 or 2 clinic.
Specialty Skills - HU - Online Checking - Must be completed before registering for Coach 2 or D1
Coach 2 or Coach Development 1 (D1) (required to coach Rep hockey)
(We recommend you take the D1 course, NOT the C2 as D1 is required for Rep hockey above U11 but can also be used for LL teams U11 and above)

Trainers / Assistant Trainers
To be rostered as a Trainer or Assistant Trainer you must take:
HTCP Level 1 Course
Once you register for the Gender Identity course, you need to go to ohfhnoheo.com and login with your eHockey credentials to complete the modules.
Trainers and Assistant Trainers who have had their qualifications expire must take:
HTCP Level 1 Refresher
Rowan Law Resource Review and Acknowledgement.
Managers
Managers do not need to be rostered, but if you want to go on the bench, you need:
Gender Identity
Respect in Sport - Leader
Rowan Law Resource Review and Acknowledgement.

Once you're qualified, contact Stephen Phillips so he can roster you to a team*.
*Approval of the Head Coach is required to be rostered
*You may not go on the bench or sign a game sheet until you're approved by OMHA and rostered
*Players will be rostered once the Respect in Sport - Parent course is complete and a birth certificate & proof of residence is received.
Millbrook Minor Hockey volunteers do not require a copy of your certificates. They will be linked to your HCR profile. If they're not linked, you are required to reach out to OMHA or the other course admin staff for assistance as MDMHA has no way to assist with the linking of
