We had a fun night out as a team – all 64 of us from our Millbrook
family – taking time out of our busy lives to watch the Petes take on the Soo
Greyhounds.
The boys started the evening by watching the warm-up from the Petes
bench, an event described as “very cool” by our players. It was awesome
watching, up close, elite players prepare for games, not to mention, watching
them send laser beam shots to the net – certainly something to aspire towards.
After this, we settled into the game, of course. As for the Petes -
well, um, they kept the game pretty close if we’re talking about football
terminology - after all, losing by a touchdown isn’t too bad.
Two Millbrook Stars – Blake Hilton and Griffin Larmer – were chosen to
take part in the intermission on-ice challenge. I’d like to tell you that they
absolutely dominated the event. I’d like to tell you that I’ve never seen such
natural talent grace the ice during the intermission for this event…. but
instead, I will tell you that it looked like they had a lot of fun doing it (:
At the end of the day, we had some good hockey (by the Soo), some good
team building, and some good memories.
Thanks to all who attended.
Go Stars Go.
